Inpatient Rehabilitation

The UT Health East Texas Rehabilitation Hospital has 49 beds and aims to return patients to their highest possible level of independence. Admitted patients complete at least three hours of therapy, five days per week, including physical, occupational and speech therapy. Some patients will participate in 15 hours per week over seven days. Rehabilitation physicians see patients at least 3 days out of the week and are is provided 24/7 by registered nurses. As part of the UT Health East Texas healthcare network, we also provide ready access to imaging, laboratory, pharmaceutical, psychological, and dietary services.

Outpatient Rehabilitation

Our network of outpatient clinics offers a variety of programs allowing patients to move to the level of therapy appropriate for them at any phase of the recovery process. Our outpatient clinics offer the following programs:

  • Physical therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Speech therapy
  • Aquatic therapy
  • Parkinson’s treatment
  • Balance and vestibular therapy
  • Lymphedema management
  • Neck and back treatment
  • Work conditioning
  • Post offer testing and FCE's

Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

Our cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs are designed to help patients recover faster and return to full and productive lives. Through a combination of both exercise and educational sessions, the programs work to optimize the patient’s physical, psychological and social functioning.
