Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, a progressive, Joint Commission accredited facility, located in beautiful north-central Pennsylvania, has immediate opportunities for BC/BE physicians. The region offers exceptional outdoor recreational activities; i.e. hunting, fishing, back-packing, boating, golfing, skiing, etc.

Hospital Location: Coudersport, Pennsylvania, county seat of Potter County, is located in the north central area of the state only 100 miles south of Buffalo, New York. With a population of 3,500, Coudersport offers the charm of small town living with access to city amenities just a few hours away. Coudersport's residents enjoy year-round recreation with many opportunities for outdoor activities.  Big game hunting for deer, bear, and wild turkey is a large attraction, and 700 miles of trout streams within the county give fisherman bountiful opportunities. Other activities available for area residents include hiking, boating, golfing, and swimming.

The residents in Coudersport pride themselves on a high quality of life, with friendly people and very low crime rate in the area. Coudersport also offers a superb public school system with a state-of-the-art elementary school. Higher education is readily accessible through Mansfield State University, the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, and St. Bonaventure University.

The Organization: Charles Cole Memorial Hospital is a modern facility located on a large, well-maintained campus, and represents the majority of medical and surgical specialties. There are 44 long-term care beds on campus, 4 newly built or renovated ORs, 10 OB suites, a 6-bed ICU, Inpatient Rehab Unit, an Inpatient Geriatric Psych Unit, and newly-constructed, 8-bed ED.  All major diagnostic services are provided. The service area includes 55,000 people in six counties. Given the remoteness of the hospital, the nearest competition is 50 miles away in any direction. The hospital has transfer arrangements with multiple facilities that are a 30-40 minute helicopter trip away.   A team approach to the delivery of care is our hallmark. In addition to the hospital, Cole Memorial has the Patterson Cancer Center; Cole Manor, a 28-bed Residential Care Facility; 2 dental offices; and ten Rural Health Care Centers located in communities within the service region.
