Few rural hospitals in the United States still offer medical services to small towns and their immediate surrounding areas, however, Tyler County Hospital is the exception. Tyler County Hospital opened its doors in Woodville in 1950 and has provided, without interruption, medical care for the county since its beginning and thousands have benefited.


The Emergency Department at Tyler County Hospital is open seven days a week and staffed with highly trained providers certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Our licensed nurses are on duty around the clock to provide our patients with compassion and advanced health care. Designated as a Level IV Trauma Center by the state of Texas since 2004, Tyler County Hospital's Emergency Room features a highly trained staff.

Woodville is located deep in the Piney Woods of East Texas at the crossroads of three U.S. highways: U.S. Highway 69, U.S. Highway 190, and U.S. 287. Centrally located in Tyler County, Woodville's population in 2010 was 2,586.
