The Hughes Center in Danville, VA is a 56 bed Adolescent/Young Adult residential treatment centerserving patients ages 13-22 years of age.  The day school is grades K-12.  The Hughes Center serves adolescents and young adults diagnosed with intellectual disabilities or any Pervasive Developmental Disorder, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Asperger Syndrome. The facility helps patients learn the skills they need to be successful in their homes, schools and communities. Its mission is to provide an opportunity to prepare for a more independent future through educational and vocational instruction and positive guidance.  The campus-style facility sits on an open 60 acre campus.  Danville, VA., is in Pittsylvania County in the rolling hills of Southern Virginia and is home to more than 110,000 people.
