St. John River District Hospital

East China Township is a rural area along the St. Clair River, with a population of about 3,650.  With three river parks, this is a great place to fish, watch ships, canoe, and picnic. There is also a neighborhood part and an 80-acre park with wooded nature paths and a paved bike path that meanders through natural woodland and residential areas. The Bridge to Bay trail is a connecting system planned to traverse St. Clair County from the Blue Water Bridge to Anchor Bay. During winter months, the township offers a sledding hill, complete with snow-making machine, ice rinks, and cross country skiing paths. There are also indoor activities like antiquing, restaurants, and the riverside lodge.
