SSM Health Behavioral Health, formerly known as the Angela Center, offers some of the most comprehensive behavioral health services in the southern Illinois region. Services offered include individual and group therapies, as well as one of the few intensive outpatient programs in the region, where patients can receive up to nine hours of therapeutic services per week. In addition to therapy, patients have access to several psychiatric providers who are specifically trained to prescribe and manage medications for mental health-related issues.

 Our team provides treatment for a variety of mental, emotional, and behavioral health issues, including, but not limited to, trauma, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, bipolar, post-traumatic stress, schizophrenia, social phobias, ADHD, chronic stress, and others.

In addition to our outpatient behavioral health services, SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Centralia offers two separate inpatient units for the adult and geriatric populations, serving patients 18 years of age and older. Our inpatient units are designed to serve individuals meeting specific criteria who require a safe and highly structured environment with 24/7 observation.
