Position Overview:

As a Hospitalist at SIH, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care within our hospital settings. Your expertise and compassionate approach will contribute to the well-being of our patients throughout their hospital stay. Key responsibilities of the position include:

• Managing and coordinating patient care, including admissions, assessments, treatment plans, and discharges.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, diagnosing medical conditions, and developing and implementing appropriate treatment plans.
• Monitoring and responding to changes in patient conditions, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Communicating effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers to ensure a smooth care transition and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Valid medical license in the state of Illinois or eligible for licensure.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
