Southern Hills Hospital is a 139 bed community healthcare partner providing southwest Las Vegas communities and neighbors with a highly-trained, caring staff. Standards are high at Southern Hills Hospital and staff surgeons must be Board Certified/ eligible. Southern Hills is home to award-winning spine physicians from Nevada Neurosciences Institute. It is first in Nevada for Pulmonary by HealthGrades; 2007 HealthGrades Pulmonary Care Excellence AwardTM; ranks in most CMS Hospital Compare categories above the national average for hospitals; first in the State of Nevada to be recognized by American Heart Association as a leading hospital in cardiology through compliance with the "Get with the Guidelines - Heart Failure" program; national training site for Minimally Invasive Hysterectomy surgery for certified GYN surgeons and national physician training site; and is an accredited chest pain network.
Certifications include: Level II NICU; CAP Accreditation; “Get With the Guidelines” certification for Heart Failure (1st in the State) and for CAD (3rd in the State); OB/GYN Technology includes: bedside computers, PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), Meddirect, EMAR, StatView, Spectra Link portable phones, Hugs Infant Protection, Sonos 7500 (Live 3-D Echo System), Laparoscopic and Video Equipment , OB Link, and High Definition OR technology.
Emergency Services: 22 treatment areas, nine fast-track areas, eight-bed observation unit. Surgical Services: nine operating rooms, two endoscopy suites, 15 PACU, 25 outpatient beds. Women’s Services include eight private labor/delivery rooms; nine Level II nursery beds (NICU); two C-section rooms, 25 ante/post partum beds. Hospital-based Outpatient Services offer General Radiology Depart., Special Procedures, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Digital Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiac Catheterization, EKG and EEG, Cardiac Stress Testing, PICC Placement, same day surgery, full service laboratory, physical therapy services.
