Redbird Smith Health Center, Sallisaw OK:
This facility was originally constructed in 1992 and was the first Indian Health Clinic to be constructed new in the Cherokee Nation under tribal management. Located on 36 acres, this site has two buildings; one which provides services such as Dental, Administration, Behavioral Health and Public Health Nursing and a new 30,000 square feet facility that houses Medical, Optometry, Laboratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Physical Therapy. The current health center is 63,000 square feet with recent expansions. The center utilizes the medical home model that comprises a team including a physician, advanced practitioner and a care manager. This health center sees about 118,000 patient visits annually.

Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (flexible schedules)

Medical, Dental, Physical Therapy, Optometry, Radiology, Behavioral Health, Public Health Nursing, Health Promotion Disease Prevention (HPDP), Pharmacy, Laboratory, Nutrition, WIC and much more!

Sallisaw, OK is nestled between the Kiamichi Mountains, Ouachita Mountains and the Foothills of the Ozarks on the Arkansas River and I-40. The town of about 8,800 is also the county seat for Sequoyah County. Sallisaw is rich in Cherokee History with scenic lakes, parks, historical museums and landmarks. Located near Lake Tenkiller, a 12,900 acre lake named after a prominent Cherokee Family in the area. Metro areas are an easy commute with Fort Smith and Van Buren, Arkansas located half an hour away from the Redbird Smith Health Center.
