Founded in 1997, Prairie St. John’s is a fully-licensed private behavioral health treatment center offering services for children, adolescents and adults to address mental health issues, chemical dependency or addiction and co-occurring disorders. The facility serves individuals and their families from throughout Minnesota, North Dakota and other states. Prairie St. John’s is owned and operated by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services (UHS) one of the nation’s largest and most respected hospital management companies. Prairie St. Johns is building a new, replacement facility, and will be expanding from 110-beds, to 128-beds, including the addition of ECT services. The new facility is anticipated to open in September, 2022.

Fargo is the largest city in North Dakota and core city of the Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area that also includes West Fargo and Dilworth. It sits on the western bank of the Red River of the North in a flat geographic region known as the Red River Valley. The lands of Fargo and around are some of the richest in the world for agricultural purposes. Several businesses have major operations there and the city’s major retail districts have seen rapid expansion as has the downtown area. Fargo offers a wide variety of cultural opportunities for a city of its size greatly due to the presence of three universities. Diverse public and private educational systems are available as well as many recreational activities to meet the interests of all ages.
