NWTHS is a 495-bed acute care medical center which includes an 106-bed behavioral health facility located on the hospital campus providing inpatient and outpatient services. As a designated tertiary care academic institution, the hospital offers physicians and patients advanced technological innovations for diagnosis and treatment of the most acute clinical conditions. The emergency department is an Advanced (Level III) Trauma facility and treats over 64,000 patients annually, including expert care for stroke patients as an accredited Advanced Primary Stroke Center. The Heart Hospital at Northwest is the only dedicated, specialty heart hospital in the Panhandle, and an accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI.   

Northwest Children’s Hospital is the Panhandle’s primary Pediatric provider, with more than 10 Pediatric subspecialties, along with nearly all other Pediatric subspecialties available through Alliance Regional Health Network. Exceptional Primary Care, Women’s and Maternity services, and Surgical services including the da Vinci Robotic system, along with a Diabetes Center, Sleep Disoders Center, and Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, combine to make Northwest the healthcare system of choice in the region.
