Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital is a 45-bed acute care hospital in a charming, Victorian community along Lake Michigan’s sandy shoreline and coastal dunes.  This hospital provides high quality medical care and advanced diagnostic services to the residents of Manistee County and surrounding communities.  Founded in 1970, the hospital is known for its early adoption of emerging diagnostic technology.  Our physicians, nurses, technicians, and support staff treat patients and each other like family members, with genuine compassion and friendliness.

Community Description

Manistee is a beautiful west Michigan community with 25 miles of Lake Michigan coastline.  Manistee County has a population of 24,400.  This four-season resort community was ranked one of the top 100 best outdoor recreation areas in the nation by Outdoor Life.  The Port of Manistee has more charter fishing boats in operation than any other port on the Great Lakes.  Manistee has a historic Ramsdell Theatre, Vogue theatre, a historic downtown, festivals, farmer market, outdoor concerts, and spectacular sunsets.  It is located 60 miles southwest of Traverse City.
