Maine General Medical Center- In August 2011 we broke ground for a new, state-of-the-art, 192-bed regional hospital that will consolidate inpatient hospital services in Augusta and Waterville. The $312 million project is the largest hospital project ever undertaken in Maine and is scheduled to open in December 2013. A year later, a $10 million renovation to the Thayer Campus in Waterville will be complete which will maintain 24/7 emergency services and provide a comprehensive array of outpatient services, including a newly renovated outpatient surgery center.

Services include emergency and critical care, a full range of inpatient and outpatient surgery, diagnostics, substance abuse and mental health services, cancer care, maternity newborn and child health programs, and the soon to be completed Advanced interventional platform.
