Gundersen Health - Decorah

Gundersen Health Decorah is a primary care multispecialty group staffed by family physicians, internal medicine,general surgery, podiatry and PAs. Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital is an 83 bed community hospital owned and operated by an elected county board served by three physician practice groups. Services include a CCU, LDRP birthing suite, dialysis, CT scanner, home health services, and an outpatient rehabilitation unit. Its strategic goal is to increase the availability of 'secondary level' services (e.g., same-day surgery) locally.

Community: Decorah has a population of 8,500, and services much of Northeast IA. Decorah is also home to Luther College, a liberal arts school with 2,500 students (many of whom go onto medical school), which brings a wide variety of educational and cultural events year round.
