About Critical Care & Pulmonary Consultants

We are a group of adult pulmonologists, intensivists, sleep specialists, and hospitalists who have practiced in the booming Denver metro area since 1995. Our practice consists of 70 hospitalists, 12 AHP, and 20 pulmonary intensivists. 
 

Where We Practice

Our practice focuses on quality, with three of the HCA hospitals in which we work receiving recognition for quality including CMS 5-star rating, Leapfrog Top General Hospital, and US News & World Report Top Regional Hospital. We provide hospitalist services in 5 acute care hospitals and 1 long-term acute care hospital in the Denver metro area, including:

• The Medical Center of Aurora
• Sky Ridge Medical Center
• North Suburban Medical Center
• The University of Colorado Hospital-Highlands Ranch
• Spalding Rehabilitation Hospitals
• Kindred Hospital Aurora

We also provide comprehensive outpatient consultation regarding pulmonary diseases and sleep disorders in our outpatient clinics located in Aurora, Greenwood Village, Thornton, and Hugo, Colorado.

Modern Medical Practice

We have been at the forefront of implementing evidence-based “Leap Frog” guidelines within our ICUs. Our protocols optimize inpatient care for conditions such as respiratory failure, septic shock, pneumonia, congestive heart failure, post-operative medical management, and other medical conditions.

Prevention of hospital-acquired conditions is a priority for our physicians. We work closely with hospital quality management teams to ensure compliance with measures such as deep venous thrombosis prophylaxis, decubitus pressure wound prevention, ventilator associated pneumonia prevention, central line infection prevention, urinary catheter associated infection prevention, and delirium minimization.
