Cooweescoowee Health Center, Ochelata, OK:The Cooweescoowee Health Center in Ochelata, OK. opened in the summer of 2015, replacing the form Bartlesville Health Clinic in Bartelsville, OK. The new state-of-the-art  health center is approximately 28,000 square feet, trimmed in cedar and with art highlighting the historic significance of the area.  The new center has 10 exam rooms and pharmacy with drive-thru.. The Cooweescoowee Health Center was the first new health facility completed under a $100 million health care improvement plan using Cherokee Nation Business profits.

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 

Scope of Services:

Medical, Public Health Nursing, Dental, Podiatry, Behavioral Health. Laboratory, Pharmacy with mail order, Community Nutrition, Radiology, WIC, & Optometry.

Community:

The local community is small, about 420 people, located just off of  HWY 75N within commuting distance between Tulsa and Bartlesville, Oklahoma. This area in Northeast Oklahoma is ranching country. It is a proud community where the new facility carries historic Cherokee Nation Principal Chief John Ross’s Cherokee name, Cooweescoowee. Ross is the longest serving chief of the Cherokee Nation, leading the Cherokees from 1828 to 1866 and across the Trail of Tears. Cooweescoowee is also the name of the northwestern historic district of the Cherokee Nation.
