Community Behavioral Health Hospital - Alexandria

The Minnesota Department of Human Services Direct Care and Treatment Division operates six Community Behavioral Health Hospital (CBHH) across the state. The CBHH provides short-term inpatient psychiatric care. Each CBHH is a small, state-of-the-art, inpatient psychiatric treatment facility that provides a safe environment for adults in acute psychiatric states. With 16 beds, the hospital offers an array of services in a community based setting. Our mental health treatment and programming utilizes a person-centered framework. We routinely involve the patient, their family and multiple community resources in treatment planning and implementation. The interdisciplinary treatment team includes a psychiatrist, nurses, advanced practice registered nurses, psychologist, social workers, and rehabilitation therapists.
