ABOUT THE FACILITY

RiverBend Medical Group - With convenient locations throughout the Greater Springfield, Massachusetts area (Chicopee, Westfield, Springfield, Agawam and Wilbraham), RiverBend Medical Group is the largest group practice in the Pioneer Valley, serving more than 100,000 patients. RiverBend Medical Group is part of Trinity Health Of New England, the region's largest health system. Over the span of 37 years, the area's premier multi-specialty group practice has grown to more than 140 providers in eight locations with nearly 20 specialty care practices – which include ancillary services. In addition to internists and pediatricians, the group has specialists in pulmonology, cardiology, behavioral health, rheumatology, dermatology, obstetrics/gynecology, oncology, radiology, general surgery, gastroenterology, chiropractic services and optometry. Its specialty services also include orthopedics, physiatry, podiatry, nuclear medicine and a sleep-medicine laboratory.

RiverBend Medical Group was among the first in the region to incorporate electronic medical records into its practices and provides the opportunity to work within a collaborative team environment where all providers are connected through Epic – its fully-integrated EMR system. In fact, all offices have also been awarded Level 3 Recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Physician Patient Connection® – Patient-Centered Medical Home Program.

Springfield, Massachusetts sits on the Connecticut River, and its metro-area population is approximately 700,000. The city is home to major employers, including MassMutual Insurance, Smith & Wesson and General Dynamics, and also boasts many museums, the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden, its own zoo and symphony hall, and the iconic Forest Park Historic District. Rural, suburban and urban locales offer a variety of residential options, including 17 neighborhoods, such as South End, known for its rich Italian heritage, and Forest Park Heights, featuring more than 600 Victorian Painted Lady mansions.
