WVU Medicine is West Virginia University’s affiliated health system, West Virginia’s largest private employer, and a national leader in patient safety and quality. The WVU Health System comprises twenty-five member hospitals, anchored by its flagship hospital, J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, a 700+ bed academic medical center, and our 150-bed WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital. Together with eight designated institutes, including the world-renowned Blanchette Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute, WVU Medicine offers tertiary and quaternary care. Our hospitals and the WVUHS Medical Group provide healthcare services in communities throughout a five-state region: Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The WVU Medicine System has more than 33,000 employees and 3,000 clinicians, providing more than 4.3 million patient visits annually.
