Located in the Shenandoah Valley less than 75 miles from Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD, West Virginia University Hospitals-East (WVUH-East) is a not-for-profit health care delivery system for West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle.

The system was created when two community hospitals, City Hospital in Martinsburg and Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, merged. WVUH-East is affiliated with West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown, WV and has a collaborative relationship with the WVU School of Medicine to train physicians and other health care providers. The medical school currently offers a family medicine residency program, a geriatrics fellowship program, a PharmD program as well as 3rd and 4th year rural medical school options for students - enabling area physicians desirable teaching opportunities.

With decreasing malpractice rates, an excellent payor mix and a 20% growth in population over the past 5 years, there is a wealth of outstanding opportunities for physicians at WVUH-East. Compensation packages are very competitive and many include first year net income guarantees, malpractice coverage, relocation allowance and health benefits.
