At Virginia Community Healthcare Association (VCHA), our mission is to Advocate on behalf of, Educate and Elevate our member health centers, enhancing their ability to provide affordable, accessible, quality healthcare to the communities they serve regardless of their ability to pay.
From Chincoteague to the Cumberland Gap, Winchester to Virginia Beach, Alexandria to Danville and all points in between, VCHA’s member health centers provide access to high-quality, low-cost primary care to communities and neighborhoods where there would otherwise be no access to healthcare. VCHA is an integral part of Virginia’s health safety net.
For more than 40 years, VCHA has been connecting healthcare employers and top talent in all disciplines through our provider recruitment program. We search from various candidate pools and screen potential healthcare staff thoroughly for positions across the state of Virginia and some sites in West Virginia.
Work where you can make a real difference
Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) appeal to the best version of us – the version that sees healthcare as a calling as much as a career. Whether you prefer the mountains, the beach, country roads or a city, you can find your ideal lifestyle and perfect fit at one of VCHA’s many member health centers. The advantages of joining a FQHC practice include work hours to ensure optimal work-life balance, outpatient-only treatment, competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including liability protection coverage. Additionally, loan repayment options may also be available. In so many ways, a career in community health may be perfect for you!
VCHA’s members have an on-going need for Family Medicine Practitioners, Internal Medicine Physicians, Pediatricians, Family Nurse Practitioners and Dentists, Behavioral Health Professionals, as well as periodic needs for OB/GYN Specialists, Physician Assistants, Psychiatrists and LCSWs.
