South County Health

 The South County Hospital Healthcare System (SCHHS) is a full-service healthcare resource
offering a comprehensive range of advanced inpatient, outpatient, and home health services. The
SCHHS system is composed of South County Hospital, VNS Home Health Services, South County
Quality Care, and South County Surgical Supply. The hospital has been located in Wakefield since
1925.

LOCATION
The village of Wakefield is rich in history. It was first settled in the 18th century as part of the town
named South Kingston. Thousands of tourists visit each summer, with Wakefield centrally located

Newport’s Second Beach to the East. South Kingstown is home to three of the most beautiful

Providence, and the ferry connecting to beautiful Block Island. The beaches of Narragansett are a
