North Oaks Medical Center is conveniently located in Hammond, LA - offering a small-town charm and close-knit community atmosphere, but also easy access to both New Orleans & Baton Rouge - both cities are less than an hour away!

Serving a large geographic market of approximately 500,000 residents, North Oaks has provided quality health care to its community for over 65 years.

North Oaks Health System includes a 330-bed acute care hospital, 14 expansive operating suites, Level 2 Trauma Center designation, Primary Stroke Center certification, a 27-bed rehabilitation hospital, a freestanding surgical center, two diagnostic centers, a hospice agency, and the largest multispecialty provider clinic in the region.

Operating as a Hospital Service District, all excess revenues are reinvested to expand North Oaks' services, equipment and technologies. System-wide use of the EPIC electronic healthcare record and the ability to perform minimally invasive procedures using one of two daVinci robots are just two of the ways North Oaks' providers are enabled to deliver the highest quality of care.

Offering academic opportunities for its physicians, North Oaks received accreditation from ACGME in January 2024, and began its Internal Medicine Residency Program in July 2024.
