Fort Medical Group is a wholly owned for-profit subsidiary of Fort HealthCare, Inc.  The group consists of 23 physicians and 6 midlevel providers in eight specialties conducting clinics in Fort Atkinson and eight surrounding communities.  FMG offers physicians the best of both worlds providing annual salaries based on each physician’s individual productivity in the proceeding year and bonuses based on individual profitability.  The physician’s efforts can be directed towards patient care and professional activities, rather than time consuming day to day business management details.  It utilizes hospital ownership to maximize Medicare reimbursement under provider based status and improves negotiations with third party payers through the increased leverage of the group.
